PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE......

       It is a great privilege for me to welcome you with pride and honour on the webpage of Sonari College. The college is situated in Sonari Town in the Sub-division' named 'CharaideO'. The name of CharaideO has historical background and it is derived from the Ahom word 'Che-Rai-Doy' (Che means City; Rai means Shining; Doy means Hill; that is Shining hilly City) where Chao-lung Sukafa, first king of Ahom Dynasty, established their first capital. At present Sonari College is the Solar plexus of higher education in the sub-division which is imparting knowledge to the students coming from nook and corner of the sub-division.   

        It is the knowledge which begets wisdom and from wisdom one can achieve consciousness and consciousness leads the life for bright future. We lay stress on openness of students and teachers interactions which give the students will-power to get the momentum of life. The students are free to work with teacher in unique manner to maintain the honour and dignity of the institution. The institution vows to yield greater eminence in the filed of intellectual and we thrieve to reach the achievement. The institution comprises talented teachers, disciplined students and resilient office staff. Lecturer's halls are equipped with audio system and occasionally visual projections are displayed. Here we encourage students so that their instinct talents are properly harnessed and they have a burning strong desire to win.
